The Color Club: Case Study No. 4

And now yet a fourth Dean's World co-blogger, Mary Madigan, steps down. Four co-bloggers gone from Dean's World in a matter of days, in the wake of Dean's ideological purity test new editorial policy.

Like I say, the decimation continues. Yet another step closer to the Color Club.

It makes me sad.

Yeah. THEN it dawned on me ... like a phoenix rising from the ashes!

Cause you just know he'll lure in a herd of new young talent :)

Just think of Dean'sWorld as a feeder-blog for the blogosphere.

Although, I think he'd be less stressed if he cut people more slack. But, then he wouldn't be Dean. He'd be ... not-Dean :)

(And I am telling you this: Dude, you need some emoticons!) Because typing an exclamation mark and a parenthesis makes me think of Pinochio and THAT was a horrible movie. Ok. You need some emoticons and I need some sleep ...

But will he lure in new young talent who will stand up to him like these four co-bloggers of his have stood up to him? Will he find anyone, period, who can write like Ron Coleman?

And will he learn from this experience? No, scratch that. If Dean learned from experience, then (as you put it) he wouldn't be Dean. This will all happen again, just as it's happened on DW so many times before. (Well, not that he's ever lost this many co-bloggers— and commenters— at once in a mass exodus before.) With Dean, it's not a question of if, it's only a question of when.

And Dean will be just as surprised by it next time as he's been this time.

Sad to say. :-(

Lucy, thank you! Ron is one of the good guys. And the co-blogger I'm going to miss most at DW.
